Kimbok K. >>would you agree with me that.......
a mear $100 us dollars / pax entrance fee for an EXPAT is very reasonable, this well help the 2010 GGR Organizer generate funds close to a half million in local currency enough to cover the venue, food and drinks , This ofcourse assuming that there will be a minimum of 100 or more of us Expat around the globe who have the guts to attend "The once in a life time" gathering of fellow Milbukians ..
the 100$ per pax is not bad and a burden to us expats.i hope that it will cover all the things needed during our stay in gensan.
to expo ,
happy to note that iam your partner for solicitation purposes.
will try to get some amount to cover the expenses for the 2010 ggr.
iam waiting for the letter with our logo on it (to make it more formal.)
when can you send ba.... thanks.
you're always on the go men!! that's a good idea. ma-o lang gihapon
kay abtik pa sa manatad!!!
To 2010 GGR Organizer
I proposed that the Entrance (Door) fee for all local ( within Philippines) attendee should be just Php 100 pesos/pax only in order to ease financial nightmare of our fellow milbukians that are less fortunate. remember this is a 2 days affair and they need atleast 3 days lodging accommodation in Gensan plus food..... For all EXPAT ( ofw and residing abroad) attendee, I think a mear US $100 dollars / pax is about right, since we have the financial means and we are the one suggested the 2 days reunion and to be held in a tourist beach resort. so I think we should take more of the financial burden (responsibility ) than the local milbukians..... Am I right !!... after all, this is besicaly advantagoius to us who never attended the 2 big reunion...we well see more of our classmate and friends by not asking to much...... remember, most of the local milbukians ( within the Philippines) with the exception of the few have already attended the 2 big reunions, they seen most of thier classmate and friends in person..... It is US expat, who wanted this so bad and we should atleast pay for it by paying the US$100. dollars at the door... "pre-paid or walk-in".......... am I wrong on this one !!!.....
This is just a suggestion ... ok dokie !!.... comments are very welcome on this issue.
Hi Sonny T.,
Consider yourself deputized as a GGR 2010 peacekeeper. Thanks for volunteering. I may not be able to promise you the food safety details but will work something out.
Your suggestions to organize a housing committee is a very good idea. I am sure there are good-hearted Milbukians living in GenSan who can accomodate a kababayan/s for 1-2 nights. At this early stage, blocking of rooms for nearby hotels with reasonable rates should not be a problem. But someone has to take the initiative to head the committee on housing.
Do I hear any volunteers from the local GenSan folks?
Hi to all Gensan reunion organizers,
Reading the"Dollar" price list of Dolores Resort made me wonder if we can afford it for 3 days. We must find a way to help our less fortunate colleague, I would suggest that you form an accomodation/hotel committee who's main task is as contact group for the accomodation of all participants. block rooms from other hotels near the venue to assure availability of rooms ,to solicite free room accomodations from local milbukian residence to match to other Milbukian in need of a free place to stay for the reunion, and also find all relatively economical places to stay for the said occasion and blog it for any body to choose. I hope we can still find some lodging or inn that is less than Php400 a day This will be a big come on for our kababayan.(Another topic is the food for the 2 to 3 days affair)
Congrats for being appointed Chief of operations for the security during the Gensan reunion.I know you can easily handle that.Captain ka ata sa PMT natin di ba ?Igso please consider me as one of the security team ,I am best detailed at the food preparation, official food taster and as plain clothe dance instructor.Kimbok volunter ka na rin.
Hi Alex, Expo and Bong,
YOUR BLOGS , i can read between the lines and surely understands including what're unspoken.
About 18 months preparation. Enough time . As Evelyn suggested, a Steering Committee may be formed to handle each detail relating to the preparation nder the chairmanship of Alex. No stone to be left unturned. This is a once in a lifetime historical event.
I trust Alex exactly knows how. He needs help though. What about starting with the "concept" and the Tentative Program of Activities ? All batches to be represented.
As Bong suggested, I can help my classmate Alex as soon as am back. Sure.... I will.
Convince many concerned attendees, more like it. But am sure Alex will be able to cover these matters successfully.
I will make inputs as soon as I know the details.
For the best,
to all concern,
all of your plans are good but the problem is who will attend to all this matters. i know alex is there to supervise this things with the help of other ndm graduates.....
i suggest to come up now with the names for the stering commitee.
i believe that maybe this litlle problems will be ironed out.
>Alice: You'll be in Tacurong by April 2010, just timely for the coming GGR-2010 on 24-25 May, hopefully you can extend help for your classmate (Alex) plan for the smooth formulation of the greatest Milbukians-Sinangkangan-Palimbang-San Roque-Tibulos-Baliango etc. event.
>About my sis Naida (your batch) she's fine & the family too still in Butuan City
been successful too about her kids (her youngest recently passed the C. Eng'g. Board)
>My sis Mae, also doing good so far and successful too about her kids.
>Our clan is attending this big event.
Good morning Alex,
Thank you for the prompt reply.
I brought that matter up to the organizers' attention, because I felt the need to.
I like this event to be successful too esp that my classmate Alex is deeply involved, he he he. So is Gerry, in many ways.
What about the program ? number of days/hours, etc. . . . The Planner. will he/she be informed of some major and minor details of history ? Will you do that too? I mean the script... or will you tap someone else ? I understand you are
very busy, so are the others, but many heads may be better.
What about meeting the locals and discuss the matter. Start with my sister Nenette at the City Hall of General Santos. She knew many schoolmates around the city. They can help you with the huge respoinsibility.
Our NDM schoolmates are just around. The majority however thinks this re-union is but for "a few"............. sad to say, but with all honesty, I have to.
I thought my sister Nenette is working with you . She's with the city government
of Heneral Santos ( an effective event organizer and leader, she's known to be ).
This kind of activity (making broadcast to all concerned), is just but very easy
for her, I know it. She has the needed resources. I hope she's interested herself to join. She's a busy career lady, but if she will commit, the matter of organizing can be considered SOLVED.
I shall be home (Tacurong City) by April 2010 - back to our College .
I like to join as well, but I like to make few suggestions if you will allow me,
that can benefit majority (more than 90%).
How're Naida, Mae and their respective families ?
How're you doing Bong ?
>Alice: agree with your proposals re: batch coordinator (the problem is how to locate our missing batch if they are not aware with our website) siguro ato na lang e-request sa taga Gensan (Alex) nga ipa-broadcast sa local Radio about our coming GGR-2010 what do you think? or ipa 'flash' sa local TV commercials diba?
we therefore recommend this matters to the 'Ways-and-Means' committee including the assistance for those who cannot afford to go but willing to attend.
My opinion only, subject for further discourse.
Dear fellow NDM Alumni,
Re : The 2010 Grand Re-union in GenSan
Following our chat with Ludy and Carol in Bangkok last week, I would like to suggest that a "batch coordinator" will be identified to inform former classmates
about he forthcoming big event.
Also, may I pose this query : do we have options for alumni who cannot afford
but are interested to attend ?
Perhaps, I am addressing this to my classmate Alex, being the overall coordinator.
I think he's just watching us if were going to invite him/her......YES,, OF COURSE
YOU'RE PART OF THIS, (FR.) ART, THEN IF YOU'RE GOING, EVERYBODY WANT TO SEE YOU AGAIN..IT'S BY HEART THAT YOU'RE PART OF THIS LEGACY.
neng, muchos gracias for not forgetting him, (fr.) art.
I like your idea about the security details. It will be an honor to do it for the GGR 2010. Consider yourself, Jun and George to be deputized as the official security team. The others sons and daughters of the Weyerhauser security force to be named and deputized later.
I have s very good news for everyone, Carol Tubungbanua emailed me about their Bangkok reunion. Present were Carol T., Alicia L. and Ludy B. Per Carol, they had chika-chika for 8 hours. I think this is a record setting chikahan as the longest for a small group. diba mga igso. Let's all give the Bangkok group three CHEERS. Let's all wait for Ludy to post their pictures.
its a good and great idea.hope it will be circulated soon so we can move a little bit faster and come up with an extra income for any great and plausible project we have for our beloved milbuk.
aaaaammm realy excited that this dreams and talks will be possible and will be put into reality.
kudos to all
>Sir expo: agree on that 'unforseen ramification' our second option is to request permission with our Milbukian Association's letterhead (which is SEC registered) and had permanent address-->to be discussed with Tess Trinidad (Secretary) if they can provide a softcopy of the Asso. letterhead or they can email me the logo (.jpg) and I can do it myself.
>Art Banzon: my bayaw married to my sis Emilia, now resides in Carmen-Cebu
>+Joe Banzon: fatal accident on the way to woods operation (Agusan Wood Ind)
>sir expo: as you are the GGR-2010 overall operations consultant, please do a favor to liaise with Tess for a formal request about the logo for the letterhead. TY! Tess email: firstname.lastname@example.org
> Alex Mc: I have in my files ready to use letterhead of Milbuk Legacy's logo in it
(Word format), what is missing is the temporary address caption to be
added, please provide either c/o Berting address or Nenette address or
your address (for formality purposes) soon as everyone agree then we
can circulate some soft copies to those who intend to ask for an
sponsorship. What do you think sir expo & ma'am evelyn.
IAM 100% AMENABLE TO YOUR SUGGESTION OF HAVING A SOLICITATION LETTER WITH A LETTER HEAD.
DONT FORGET TO SEND ONE FOR ME HUH.THANKS.
I have another suggestion here,
We, the sons and daughters of the Company Guards/Security Forces are voluntarily offering our services as guardian of the peace and order during the event, we also hereby appoint Mr. Gerry Dorotheo as our Chief of Operations. Mabuhay ka! Sir Gerry D. (your Dad lead our folks to thier glory at Milbuk time)
Thanks as well for the consuelo, hihi! my assumptions was the lowest figure as far as what I can sum-up basing on the latest Reunion we had at Gensan, Actually we paid P200/pax (that is +P100 more in 2 yrs as contingencies).
As you've said, to be more specific and approximately in the correct figure let's wait for Alex Mc unending effort to feed us the appropriate infos. let's do that. Meanwhile, dear Milbukians, your comments are all vital to this issue.
Thank you Sir! God Bless and your beautiful family.
Our friend Benny Esoy is a frequent road user of Milbuk-Gensan route, by the time GGR-2010 is a month or so, we can ask an advice from him about the safety of the proposed journey otherwise Plan B-C-D's are options...
Suggestions...... I PROPOSED FOR A P300/pax fee for every local attendee (bata tigulang). Expatriate (workers, residents & dependents) P600/pax (minimum) and will cover foods & "pantulak".
Accumulated amount to finance expenses of the venue & foods, remaining figures kung meron para sa account/projects, fund raising activities will be conducted by the organizing committee. Sponsorships...let's wait and see.. haha!
your comments... please.
to ggr participants
when do we start sending our ggr fees, how much(i think mr.alex have come up with an approximate amount) and to whom .
as early as possible we have to start moving so we will at least know .kay kung kulang at least it will be a small amount na lang ang idagdag.
i think the ggr com. should be ready for this......
to the ggr participants
as requested if plans push thru to visit milbuk i welcome you to our tibulos farm to eat guavas and young coconuts.
pwede din magsugba ug saging we have lots of it pwede ring pabaon .
Dear all GGR-2010 enthusiast: how about 'Plan-D+' we will formally request from the ARMM HQ (Eid Kabalu) for a charity tour to Milbuk thru the local Red Cross, all our convoy to Milbuk must bear the Red Cross Flag (for identity) Sultan Kudarat as Alex explained is a member of the ARMM. Anong say nyo safer di ba?
qoute: 1) if there's a well, there's a way
2) if there's a way, there's a hope
3) if there's a hope, there's a chance (to see Milbuk, Again!)
Unfortunately, the (sub) MX-Marine does not work under water, hehehe. Unsa man ka diha, uy! Nice to see you are back blogging again. I saw your pictures with Helen. You guys look marvelous.....I love the mountains, waterfalls and lake. These are natural beauties enhanced by the beautiful smiles on your faces.
I like your positive thinking.
What a very good plan. Your PLAN C may just work, we just have to make sure the landing strip is still in good shape and have the locals shoo away the goats and carabaos grazing on the runway. Let's Google for small plane (or helicopter) rentals in GenSan.
This is a time when we wish our two great Weyerhauser pilots are still alive (Capt. Buddy Capacite and Capt. Nards Flores). They were so good in what they do that we mortals normally took it for granted how these two pilots guided their planes to land and take-off in that very short Milbuk runway. They did it without any high-tech gadgets that pilots use now. It is amazing that they have not lost a plane in that many years of flying in a not-so-ideal conditions. Many young boy's minds were influenced to become pilots due to their abilities.
I remember visiting Capt. Flores at Makati General Hospital after his surgery to repair his injured foot. He was injured when the blackshirts shot-up at his plane, essentially taking the first salvo of deadly gunfire that was intended to ambush the convoy of Weyerhauser buses. It has been unsaid before, but Capt. Flores saved our father's lives that day. Let us not forget CELEBRATE his courage and heroism. Thank you Snr. Nards for everything.
Keep the Milbuk DREAM alive mga igso. Our hopes and dreams for a peaceful Milbuk will keep us together. God Bless us All.
I THINK YOU CAN'T SLEEP ,COZ YOU'RE EVERYWHERE AGAIN,,,NILA-AG
NA POD KA NO?
So CLOSE and yet soooo FAR!
I can hear the deeeep sigh and deflated feelings of many of our igso.
Okays guys let us not be sad (after all Alex and EXPO just want us to be safe). We can think of a "Plan B" if the peace and order situation in the area does not improve in 500 days. Here's what we can do, we can throw a BIG party in GenSan, invite all the MILF and MNLF combatants and commanders and while they are busy partying and getting drunk, we can sneak in to Milbuk. Is that a plan or what. hehehe!
As the saying goes, a bad plan well executed is better than a good plan badly executed.
But seriously, we all realize there is a real and present danger in that part of the world. All these plans and excitement is a product of wishful thinking (for now). We all miss Milbuk. We can only pray that the situation in the area will turn for the better in 500 days. If God wills it, we will see our beloved Milbuk again. If not, we still can have a GOOD time in the reunion and join Beth D. and others in the meeting about the Milbuk Legacy foundation.
>Gerry/Billy et al: travel time to Milbuk? let's ask Benny Esoy (he has few fishing pumpboats operating in Milbuk areas) pare Benny please give your comments.
Good plan on side trip to Milbuk after the reunion. With about 5 pumpboats, we could take along Billy and Expo and the rest of the gang who are bold enough to take on the crazy and dangerous plan to see our beloved Milbuk.
I agree with Billy about the heat and being fashionable. A good brim hat and/or payong will be the best thing to have in that climate. That is why ingenious Filipinos of old invented the Barong-Tagalog shirt. This is both fashionable and allows good air conditioning at the same time. Great idea.
We can also go to Tibulos to visit your farm and pick up some guavas and coconuts on the way back.
Good question, I am not sure about the travel time from GenSan to Milbuk. I will defer to Alex and locals to tell us that. Alex can you address this question of Billy? Thanks.
Alex M. & Sonny T.,
We need to get our NDM batch '70 to come strong in this reunion too.
Hehehe!
>Nelly: exactly 580 days to GGR-2010 ug within that span maka ipon na sab
siguro ang gusto mo-attend para pamasahe ug entrance fee..
Hello Mga Igso,
Re: Costumes and motifs pag dating sa beach wala lahat yan. Shorts and T-Shirt lang ayos na. Gents can wear very tight Speedos mag-papayat lang muna.
Sa ladies naman dapat 2-piece bathing suit (or bikini) like what Claire suggested to Evelyn.
So evening wear, I am going with the Manila group with Hawaiian shirt and shorts.
Hehehe! Doon labu-labu tayo.
Yong suggestion mong lunch at the beach, ayos yan. Isama mo na pati dinner para lubos and kasiyahan. Basta kasama kami sa tsibugan.
Paki reserve mo ako nang dalawang air-con rooms. Matutulog ako nang husto sa bakasyon. Thank you for being there to represent the Milbukian interest. Do you know how many cottages (air and non-air) are available in this resort?
Can you also canvas the rental of a good size pumpboat. Baka mag kayayaan, punta tayo sa Milbuk for 1 day. Balikan lang so we can see the place in person, take souvenir pictures and our old houses (and of course the NDM & church) and perhaps say hello to our friends there.
Thie excitement is soooo contagious.
Don't admit that you have sinned coz if you confessed everything they think
that you're not telling the truth...
classmate, what i'll do is just hide somewhere so i can snake in, basig matikitan ta ni sir Expo, kay si Evelyn, tungod sa kalipay niambak ang iyahang tudlo.
seriously bitaw, about the costumes and other things related to the ggr i think we will leave it to the events coordinator.we will just follow for the good and for the benifit of all concern.
walang pikonan dito. we are just enjoying and expressing our thoughts bisag yabag.....
jaza allah khairan
in this side of the globe i will start looking for a corporate or individual sponsor(s).
if i have in my hand the said amount i would rather give it to the organizers so it will add up to the various expenses that the reunion will entail.whether for the pamasahe of the other unfortunate classmates etc etc etc.
wa ka kuyafi mag 2 piece ....di makita na gyud ang ebidensya sa mga balod balod sa atong lawas.
iam amenable to the groupings and having motif.for those others nga walang ka group mates i think the best way is to come in formal attire.
siguro kami from ksa mag abaya na lang huh. wala pang gastos. hahahahah
paano yan may mga motif pala ang ibang group/class.
what about our class huh.ano patalbog ba tayo.
kudos to your great effort for the ggr 2010.i really appreciate what you're doing over that side of the world.
thank you so much for your concern about the real dates of our upcoming ggr.
insha allah walan nang kokontra .as if everybody is agreable to it.
Sir Expo, Ma'am Beth, Brod Bong
The dates seems to be very appropriate. I also give my "Aye" on that. Likewise to Ma'am Beth's idea of having Manila attendee in one group. Grouping helps maintain orderly and well planning. I hope I can disseminate this idea to the 76'ers to have one group as well, I'll do it at next years gathering.
Thank you and Have a nice & Blessed Day!
>Sir Expo: 100% agree on the May 29-30, GGR-2010 dates, overnight on
the 29th till weeee,,,, hours of 30th.
Hi Ms. Claire,
Musta na man ka diha Angel?? hope you're okay as this cybercop is.. Godspeed the other Angel (Fide) had landed safely at Manila Airport. Let us give here all the time she got enjoying and meeting everybody, so we will miss her here, for time being. Ingat ka din Sis and God Bless.
Thanks for supplying us those informations, The photos perfectly defines what we are looking for, and the ammenites are all within reach.. My Bro Bong and I must start planning to have at least 2 of those cottages to house our whole clan.. numbering more or less 15-20 pax.
Salamat kaayo brod 'Lex, more energy to you. God Bless the Family too.
Bai, ayaw gyud kasipyat pakita sa GGR-2010 ha??? kundi nah! ambot lang nus-a na sab ang another chance, baka hanap na unya atong mga mata... hahaha! ayo-ayo diha.
my wild guess for attendance count re: GGR-2010 is 999 pax. hopefully we can all fit inside kaya lang mag linya ta morag ga flag ceremony, hihi ang tsibogan standing as we say "dutch land"??? mao ba to ni ang term or binisaya na lang " dats land" hahaha! If those sardines found their way inside the small tin, so we can. God Bless all Mibukians in the land of opportunity (USA).
>Alex: Thanks for supplying advance info. re: proposed venue for our GGR-2010
the place is Nice, clean, complete facilities & affordable, for me.
Featuring the proposed venue for GGR-2010: The Watergran Resort by the Sea
>Alex: thanks for the positive response, para bibo ang reunion mag plano ta ug
sayo,,,hinay-hinay basta kanunay!
>Regards to Malou & Kids!
>My prayers to your son (in combat)
>Take care & Godbless!
what a wonderful agenda you people are having in here, pwede mo sagol???
Sir Expo- I do agree with all your presumptions. I can get some opinion from my batch 76ers on some of the agenda ie, transportation & accomodation, etc.. God's willing madayon among batch gathering next year, we will bring these matters into discussion.
this is a MEGA reunion and everything shall be planned well ahead para succesfull gyud.
Let's give a vote for our Brod Alex M. here to be one of the backbone if not Main Coordinator. I will take charge of all Milbukians in Butuan City. and hope that everyone will be well informed and invited and helped, maka attend lang kay if I am not mistaken Butuan is home to large number of Milbukians.
Kimbok- ka palak pak man sab ko sa imong blog oi, wow! super genius ka bai!

who will oversee the smooth sailing of the party.
>Agree on 2days hangover party (Saturday 29 & Sunday 30)
>Alex: please highlight to us the proposed venue you recommended, TY!
welcome back bro.
It would be the perfect venue for the GGR-2010. a resort with all the amenities, the main factor is the Ballroom that can accommodate "herd" of Milbukians, hahaha! labi na naa sila private beach.... pag medyo "lashing" na mi ni Kimbok mag washing dayon mi sa dagat para mahuwasan.. sabay pulotan sa inihaw na panga then tagay na sab og tuba.

Ma'am Evelyn G.
Hi! that's one tough arabic for me to understand... haha!
I'm timothy "jun" gonzales, youngest of the family. Rosegildo "Gil" and Ma. Editha Garcia (both children of your brother,Mr. & Mrs. Nanding Garcia) were my classmates at Elementary & High School in Milbuk. I'm an OFW here in Bahrain 17 years now and still counting. If ever you may come to Bahrain please kindly ring me up para magkita sab ta. So far 2 lang mi nga taga Milbuk mag kaila deri sa Bahrain, one of them is Edgar Taghap the son of Ronnie & Grace Taghap working at Bodega in Milbuk time.
Shokran! Assalam alaikum!

thanks so the ggr 2010 will be on may 30.thats ok with me .mafi mushkila. i will file for my annual holiday with in that time frame.
min wen anta fil bahrain ashan ana shouf o kalam anta .
Dear Ma'am Evelyn Garcia,
As you scroll below the blogs, there was a proposal from my brod Bong to set the date of GGR-2010 on May 30th, the reason behind is a government issue about him & family in Singapore and secondly we have a family reunion 1 week before, with that all our siblings are planning to attend the said reunion thereafter. Todate no one had opposed to this proposal and we assumed that is ok for everybody, i think so.
GGR (Gensan Global Reunion)
i just want to know the exact dates of our grand reunion come 2010.
though it is 2 yrs. from now but in my place of work we schedule our annual holidays 1 yr.ahead.
thank you.more power to the organizers.
pls.pls.pls. i dont want to miss this one moment in my life time.....
Dear Beth Didulo,
You have given a good point there. For those that cannot attend the Gensan reunion may have one in Manila before or after that date so the people coming from other parts of the world can see more of the Milbukians. Also be able to support the different projects. Regarding the church renovation I am for that if your purpose is to raise money for that I am willing to send it thru my brother Sonny. I ask the kind hearted Milbukian to support this project.
Myrna T. - batch 1966-67
>>ma'am betty: We had already forwarded a formal request to the Gensan Global
reunion organizers (the persons you've mentioned) re: May 30, 2010 date, Thanks
for your kind attention to our request. See you all in 2010!
TC & GBU
Thanks for the feed back........asenso na jud ang GENSAN kay sounds new sa akoa ang Saranggani Hi Lands - Over looking.....Once again, daghan kaayong salamat and GOD BLESS ALSO...!
I vote for the BEACH for the 2010 GenSan reunion. Excited na gyud ko kay makita na tanan ang mga igsu. I even told Daisy (my wife) about it and she too wants to come. So the D-day for reunion is MAY 30, 2010. Is this the final answer? Parang game show ano.
Kumusta na lang sa lahat.
Musta na and family?
Inyo diay na nga Company Logo? 'twas my brod Bong who posted it here. Gladly it has something to do to advertise your breadbasket, haha!
You know when we went there last June my first wish is to see Mt. Apo (for the first time) I don't know if it was the one I saw when we were in Digos area, I didn't dare to ask anybody kay medyo maulaw ko.. ingnon ta nga "tagaw", with it's peaking height I'm pretty sure siya na nga, When we went to Tropicana, again I saw a mountain, this time I asked Lando Quinco if it was Mt. Apo the one I saw at Digos Area, then he replied No! it is Mt. Matutum, huh! "mao diay na siya"??? Lesson learned: Don't forget Philippine History especially when it is in your own backyard.
Regarding your pre-meeting re: Global Reunion 2010, hope it will be a success, and once again thanks for your effort to lead.
Take care always, and my warmest hello to your lovely family, greetings also to everybody out there. God Bless
>>Alex: sorry for not asking permission from you re: matutummeats logo pero
ok lang di ba? (advertisement ginagmay) Thank you in advance for
considering our clan's request re:2010 reunion fixed date, regards to
your family circle ..TC & GBU! <bong>
Dear Sir Expo Taghap,
