Quoted from Gerry Dorotheo's Email:

Looking at the pictures, I listed the obvious items needed for this project. See for yourself.

THE GOOD NEWS:

Structurally, the building looks like it will hold up for another 20 years. Wag lang mag-tidal wave uli.

The church pews look okay (the builder must have used good hardwood for materials) but need re-varnishing to make them look good again.

The altar area looks okay but may need re-painting.

THE NOT SO GOOD NEWS:

Majority of the walls on three sides of the building (inside & out) are unfinished hollow blocks. To preserve the bricks from the destructive elements of nature, it needs cement finishing (palitada) and a coat of paint.

The ceiling needs paneling covers (plywood) to hide the structural frames as well as provide needed insulation to make the inside cooler.

It looks like the florescent light fixtures are still there but where do they get the electricity? Perhaps a small generator is needed to power up the church lights during evening mass services.

The corrugated roof appears to be intact but may need few sheets for replacement. The eaves require replacement and painting. Some portions appear to be rotting out and may soon fall off.

The perimeter hollow block walls were damaged and need to be torn down and rebuilt.

Some of the window jalousies need to be replaced.
